Image XX John Wayne Series
We knew him as "Duke", and for generations, he was the epitome of rugged individuality. John Wayne appeared in more than 175 films in his storied career. He was an Academy Award winning film actor whose career began in the 1920's. He was a major star from the 1940's to the 1970's, and was most famous for his Westerns and World War II epics. More than a movie star, Wayne became an American cultural icon. And he still is today, not only for those famous movie roles, but for his courageous personal battle with cancer. Wayne was a strong supporter of cancer research, and it was his wish that his family carry on the fight after his death in 1979. That legacy lives on today through the John Wayne Cancer Foundation. W.R. Case & Sons pays homage to John Wayne, the cowboy we all aspire to be and the man's man we grew up idolizing with this new family of six pocketknives. The "DUKE" artwork on the Smooth Chestnut Bone handles, and the silhouette of Wayne on the mirror polished Tru-Sharp® surgical steel blades are sure to have Case collectors sitting high in the saddle.
